stripes & shagreen

I suddenly have a craving for knits...and fancy that, just after Labor Day is over. Now I can't wait to experiment and play in the season of layers, textures, and all things warm and fuzzy. Besides my newfound growing love for Fall fashion, something new I've been seeing and obsessing over in rare places is shagreen leather (made from shark or usually stingray). The texture is so new and different and shines in the light like diamonds. I adore this Khirma Eliazov bucket bag - firstly because bucket bags are probably my most favorite type of bag, and secondly, well, just look at the gorgeous colorblocked shagreen panel! It's not only superbly featured in this bag, but also in her whole collection. It adds such a glamorous touch to an otherwise minimalistic bag. I'm already dreaming of my next splurge, which will have to be a shagreen leather wallet, wherever it may be.

P.S. I'm off to NYFW! Follow me on twitter and instagram for live updates of my Big City adventures.  I'll be covering shows including DL1961, BCBG Max Azria, and Mara Hoffman! Can't wait to share everything with you!!
