hello november

Hi everyone! The weekend is near and it's officially the start of the holiday season! It's truly my most favorite time of the year, though it's hard to think merrily with what's currently going on in the world. I was going to travel to New York next weekend, but with the terribly unfortunate hit of Hurricane Sandy, I thought it best to postpone the trip. The focus shouldn't be on vacationing or tourism at this time and should be on recovering and helping. It hits close to him hearing the stories and seeing real time pictures of the devastation from friends and family all over instagram and how some of the areas don't have the basic necessities of power and clean water. And, also remember the massive destruction of the storm's first hit in the Caribbean where over 200,000 people lost the basic necessity of shelter. I've already donated to American Red Cross and you can too here: Donate. Every dollar will help better everyone's holidays.

Just a little update on me - so new news - I've been super busy this past week because I just started an exciting new internship at Kelly Wearstler. It's such a dream, because who isn't a fan of her bold and beautiful aesthetic in interior design and fashion? Once you see her gorgeous office, you'll realize why it's hard to leave at the end of the day (I'll try to sneak some pictures in).  So I'm in LA now half the week. Hit me up. Even though it's still in the 70s in SoCal, I'm taking full advantage of the chillier weather to pull out my scarves, knee highs, and knits and more knits. I'm still scouring for the perfect snuggle sweater - a super soft, cozy, oversized knit you feel instantly relaxed in once you throw it on. That truly defines the beginning of Fall for me. Let me know if you find one!
