scarlet muse

Not so often I've put together my outfits around a single piece, but the muse of my week is most obviously my scarlet Foley & Corinna. What an ode to you! Happy Friday everyone!

100th post: baby blues

I'm loud and proud to publicly display my deep affection for maxi dresses, especially for comfortable, simple, understated pieces. This lovely blue/periwinkle dress from Zara is only $19.90. Grab it now! It is 100% cotton and the cut drapes so smoothly and flowingly over the body. I wore it all day and even snoozed in it. Like I said before, throw anything backless at me and it earns 10x the love.

Also this is my 100th post! I'm so grateful to have reached this milestone for my blog baby and it wouldn't be possible without the endless support of my loyal readers, friends, and family. Thank you all for reading my blog and reaching out to me through email, twitter, or your lovely comments. I love hearing from you! I cherish this blogging community that I am in and I strongly persevere to get involved more. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

scarlet fever

My scarlet Foley & Corinna has been sitting in my closet for ages without seeing sunlight, so I finally changed bags (been too lazy to keep changing) to give this some run. It gives me a perfect excuse to rock the red lip even more bold.

This top is one in my closet I can always rely on. The sheer skin is so understated and the hi-lo cut can't be more fun in the breeze. I also received a new ring from diamentdesigns on Etsy and it's already earned a permanent place on my fingers. I can barely feel it that sometimes my heart jumps before I realize it's still on. I have a big heart for little things delicate.

spring fever

I spent my first day of Spring perusing knick knacks at Ikea. I went home with two jars and a vase, which I intend to place pretty stems in to decorate my room. I love the environment of having fresh flowers in my room and around the house so I've made it a habit to buy a few stems every grocery trip. And I always have to top off my Ikea trip with a $1 frozen yogurt. Yum!

crab pizza

Flew up for a too short of a weekend but made the most of it by indulging in the food I dearly miss. First stop was Bakesale Betty on Sat morning and the line was relatively short (score). Boo got the chicken with the carbs while I craved for the salad drenched in all the hot sauce I'd pour over it. I have yet to buy the ginger molasses cookie kit from Williams Sonoma but I doubt I can come close to recreating this heavenly treat. After a short suffer of food coma, we watched 21 Jump Street, which was really bromantically funny; I'd highly recommend for some good laughs. PLUS it is the movie where I discovered Dave Franco (James Franco's brother!) and he is cute. Saying that makes me feel like a cradle robber -__- (edit: he's 26 years old). Later that night, we dined at The House, my favorite restaurant in SF. You must try their deep fried salmon roll and the sea bass. Their sea bass is the best I've ever tasted, honestly. I can always count on having an amazing, casual meal here. The House is in the hustle and bustle of North Beach and it turned out to be St Patrick's Day, which I totally forgot about. We found ourselves in the middle of hoards of green beer drunkards.  After dinner, we left to Tenderloin to sneak into a not-so-secret "speakeasy," Bourbon & Branch. Their drinks are unique and extensive and the atmosphere is just perfect for an intimately buzzing end of the night with group of friends or with your boo (get their cucumber gimlet). Ended up making our way back to North Beach for some drunk feasting and found a crab pizza to stuff myself with. Needless to say, the gourmand in me was very satisfied that day.
