Torn

Torn by Ronny Kobo dress via Madison LA. Alexander Wang bag (similar here). Nixon watch. YSL No. 9 lips.

Thanks to one of my favorite LA boutiques, Madison, I discovered a dress label that's become my newest infatuation: Torn by Ronny Kobo. The designer, Ronny Kobo, is a true multinational with a global upbringing in Israel, Hong Kong, London, Paris, and New York and her worldly adventures are visually captured in each of her playful statement dresses.

As far as I've seen, most of her pieces (including tops, skirts, etc.) are made with luxe, travel-friendly material such as heavy knits, mid-weight jerseys, etc., which brings me to the subtle thought that the travel-friendliness factor of clothes totally make or break their way into my suitcase. I often wish I could bring my prettiest dresses to new scenery, but the fact that just folding them would wrinkle them or diminish their splendor prevents them from seeing the world (at least parts of the nation so far)! Which is why I'm loving Ronny Kobo's fabulous idea of creating super chic dresses that are versatile, comfortable, and fit for globe-trotting without a wrinkle or frown in sight. I know exactly who I'll be checking in on come time to pack for Europe this year (the one resolution I'm determined to make happen!!).
