The ambitious search for the wedding dress led me to the ethereal beauty of Cortana, a Spanish RTW and Bridal brand by Rosa Esteva who creates artful silhouettes for the elegant minimalist. Fine silks and raw cotton are fashioned into arrestingly beautiful drapes and sophisticated forms of texture that heighten the wearer's naturally radiant beauty as a woman. As soon I saw a few of Cortana's wedding dress styles at LOHO Bride, I knew this would be from whom I'd find the perfect dress for my day as a bride.  Christy, the loveliest boss lady and owner of LOHO Bride, helped me find this winning combination from Cortana amongst her incredibly curated selection of effortlessly beautiful designer bridal dresses. Originally, I wanted a form-fitting sheath silhouette in a silk sateen - something very contemporary and flattering for a low-key look. I quickly realized that style wasn't fitting my dream and after trying on a few different silhouettes, I surprised myself by falling head over heels for this two-piece cotton tulle gown that made me feel like a true princess. The ruched top was transformative with an off-the-shoulder or asymmetric option and the stunning long skirt had the most romantic textured look with corset detailing in the back. I want to wear this dress over and over again!
GLEAMS OF RADIANCE

I wanted my wedding look to still feel like the me that everyone knows, so I kept my overall look soft and demure with touches of glamour. My makeup was kept very natural, similar to my everyday look, using organic makeup by Kjaer Weis and Juice Beauty. I loved my hair in a simply elegant chignon that didn't require much touch-up. My bridesmaids had romantic waves and effortless up-dos.  All hair and makeup were done by the talented team of artist Chiali Meng. Since everything was minimal and natural, I wanted to add a bit of glamour to our looks with a unique headpiece by Jennifer Behr. It was our favorite part of the ensemble! I loved my crown for its timeless art deco-inspired style and I especially loved how each of my bridesmaids picked a headpiece that well represented their style and personality.  My satin blush shoes are by Oscar De La Renta and I love wearing them out for special nights, to this day. I barely thought about my jewelry until the last couple of weeks, during which I turned to Tacori for help since they designed our incredible wedding bands. Tacori fitted me in diamonds from their Encore Collection, while I styled each of my bridesmaids with unique jewelry from Tacori's beautiful gemstone collections. Most special of all, my mother passed down to me the CHANEL Plume bracelet and Camélia ring and I couldn't have been more honored to wear these astonishing treasures from her.

I love my sister and my closest friends from the bottom of my heart and I knew that this chapter in my life would not have been possible without their unconditional support and love, so I wanted this occasion to celebrate us together just as much as it was about Kyle and me. My bridesmaids dressed in ivory and because I love texture so much, each dress had beautiful lace detailing that exuded poetic, Old World romance. They found their dresses on their own from Mes DemoisellesModclothSelf PortraitDress the Population, and Lulu*s.

THE DAPPER MEN

My handsome husband took charge in his styling and dressed himself and his boys in the sharpest suits from Darkoh, a German-based menswear brand that combines bespoke tailoring with ready-to-wear accessibility. They have a diverse, yet curated collection of stylish suits for every man's style and they're just perfect for weddings and formal occasions. I love that Kyle went with a stately navy hue and kept the look clean and modern with black details. The groomsmen dressed in dapper double-breasted suits for a collectively polished aesthetic. Kyle gifted each groomsmen personalized cuff links from Maps by A. Jaffe; each person's cufflink had an engraved map that told the story of where they first met.

Oh, and did you notice Kyle's walking boot on his left leg? Just the day after we returned from filming a commercial in Venice, Italy, Kyle tore his achilles tendon in a minor accident. If you're familiar, it's one of the most common injuries among men with serious recovery time. The accident happened in July and total recovery time is typically up to a year. Our wedding was in November, just 3 1/2 months later. Kyle is the most resilient man I know, so we brushed it off and made it work! Kyle custom-tailored his pant leg to cover the boot so that it's barely noticeable. He totally crutched down the aisle for the ceremony, then put on his incredibly innovative i-Walk hands-free crutch that made the rest of the night, especially dancing, an effortless breeze.

WRITTEN IN THE STARS

In the beginning of wedding planning, I had thoughts of preparing a reception dress to change into, because honestly the more beautiful dresses, the merrier. But since wedding dress shopping was such a long, exhaustive process, I gave up on thinking of finding another perfect dress for the reception.

As it may have been written in the stars, I visited A Current Affair in Downtown LA in October, just one month before the wedding, and discovered my dressy soulmate. Of course, the dress was in the last rack of the last vendor I'd shop after stopping by every other - but this vintage 1950s Lanvin was undeniably worth the endeavor. A cascade of navy lace with a tinge of silver peeked through a densely-packed string of designer dresses at the vendor Amarcord Vintage and I immediately gasped when I pulled it out, not expecting this to be everything I hoped for in a dress I'd remember forever as part of my wedding. I tried it on right there and it was the most perfect fit and length, as if this was waiting for me all along. I paired the Lanvin with the Celestial Coronet from Jennifer Behr - a show-stopping match made in heaven.

  1. I think you shared a photo of the navy blue dress in one of your previous posts...? I remember thinking "I want to see the front part of the dress sooo baddd!" Lo and behold, here it is, and my heart just sang, just from looking at it. And the fact that it was VINTAGE LANVIN - lucky girl, Stephanie! I especially love how it matches Kyle's suit. Thank you for sharing these great images from your special day, and I'm sure your readers, including me, enjoy perusing through them <3

  8. Oh. my. god! Your wedding literally looks like you're a princess from some Disney cartoons! I fell in love! I'm planning my wedding now and I wish I could have as beautiful wedding as you had! And your man is real hero of mine. In fact, I have my wedding in a year, so I'm not worrying much, but I'm happy I recently found www.weddingforward.com/cake-cutting-songs/, so at least I already have some tips about planning and I found all the needed music. What kind of tips you can give?
