Farfetch Summer Guide, Los Angeles

Farfetch skipped across the pond and landed in my city Los Angeles for all the  good and stylish summer vibes.

—————

To celebrate the start of summer, Farfetch put together a roundup of their favorite LA spots and I, along with a handful of other cool kids, got to discover their Summer Guide on a full day tour.

It just makes sense to start any day out with shopping, so you can walk out the door tags off with that new new. We visited the ultra-chic boutique Just One Eye, which has been a favorite of mine since Kyle took me there on one of our first dates. A concept store that blends luxurious fashion with serious contemporary art from Takashi Murakami and Damien Hirst among others. You might come in for the Gucci sequin skirt and stay an extra hour scoping various works of art and antique decor. I picked up a Julien David skirt, something a little different than my usual repertoire; I love its fun checker print in a breathable cotton make. I had a little fun pairing the skirt with a Beau Souci sequin top that gave me all the mermaid feels, but ultimately I styled it for the day with a Marysia Swim top and a Michael Stars cardi that didn't stay on long in the day's 80ºF+ weather.

When it's getting well into the afternoon, a little pit-stop at Petit Ermitage's beautiful rooftop for tea and rosé becomes a solid decision. Crystal healer Azalea Lee was nearby, delivering a spiritual session of discovery and healing through crystal energy. I got to take home a Mottramite crystal to aid in transformation and self-reformation. Good energy awaits.

Farfetch went above and beyond to secure a private hour to ourselves at the newly-opened Marciano Art Foundation on Wilshire Blvd. The giant contemporary art space took over the former mysterious Scottish Rite Masonic Temple and includes installations, sculpture, photography, and paintings from brothers Maurice and Paul Marciano's private collection; the experience is absolutely larger-than-life. Plan to spend a few hours exploring! It's completely free to visit, but you must make reservations.

There's no better way to end a fantastic day with new and old friends than a sunset dinner at Mama Shelter's rooftop, boasting some of the best views of the Hollywood skyline, while sharing lighthearted, home-y vibes in its romantic string lights and eclectic decor. Their margaritas and Mediterranean food are delightfully shared family-style and conversations go well into the night under the moon and stars.

Thank you Farfetch for one of the best days I've ever spent in the city I love!
