LAST NIGHT dress. Tacori jewelry. Madewell bag.

I made it an effort to celebrate my Labor Day weekend this year and keep it as free of labor as possible, unlike last year's which coincided with my shop's launch. Although, that makes today LAST NIGHT's one year anniversary! It's surreal that my business has made it this far, but I'm ever so grateful and I thank my stars every day for the never ending support I have from my friends, family, and you. So to pre-celebrate, I actually took advantage of a work holiday (when you're on your own, no such weekends or holidays really exist). Kyle and I stopped by the Costa Mesa Wood Racquet Classic, a jovial charity event benefitting the John Wayne Cancer Foundation, tournament and vintage tennis attire included. This event is truly a special Orange County mainstay hosted yearly by Leisure Society, a simply luxurious eyewear brand that exudes the lifestyle of enjoying the finer things (imagine 18-, 24-karat gold-plated titanium frames, diamond insets, buffalo horn - worthy elements of a promising heirloom). One thing the Wood Racquet Classic is famous (or perhaps even infamous) for is the fashion. It is short shorts and pleated skirts galore (and the former being the men) with dashes of wild hats and colorful forms. Inspired by the classic color palette of Labor Day tennis, my first instinctual pieces of the vintage-themed puzzle were these green onyx jewels from Tacori's City Lights collection. The striking green colors truly brought the glamour in harmony with the ivory. I especially adore the timeless double drop earrings, which turned my crepe dress back in time to the refined era of spectating an elite sport. You can never go wrong with wearing Tacori if you're looking to feel like a star, even if it was as sweltering as it was this weekend. It was thankfully easy to keep somewhat cool in a gauzy dress; summer is literally going out with a hot bang!  After the event, our energy levels were completely devastated from the heat. We decided to pull out the picnic blanket and nap in the shades of trees in my neighborhood park and I'd have to say, there's nothing more indulgent than napping on the grass while dripping in brilliant Tacori jewels.

Check out for my night in Tacori for a full day-to-night look.
