To the origins of my style.
The first upscale clothes I had spent my hard-earned high-school-job money on were three beautiful tops from Free People - a baby blue crochet short sleeve with flowing printed chiffon body, an orange tank top with a floral embroidered waist, and a silky forest green tunic which I still have hanging in my closet today. I had wondered into Nordstrom on multiple occasions, fascinated with this unfamiliar brand and each time, I fell harder in love with Free People's creative and adventurous aesthetic in its pieces. Exploring Free People had introduced me to the concept of one's unique style, an obscurity at the time, and dressing to express. Their dresses were what inspired me to graciously bow out of my tomboy phase and slip into free-spirited romance. So today, I'm returning to my style roots and saying hello to an old friend that's never left and has only gotten better with age. Now that they've recently gotten themselves into the shoe game, creating signature head-to-toe outfits will be a fun breeze.
