I've been re-imagining my pastels and florals lately into perfectly suitable forms of Autumn variations, because there's no constitution that says you can't make Spring florals into Fall florals. You just have to have the right eye, with a little squint.

Yesterday was one of the first days I ever truly 'unplugged' for a record time. From an 8am car service pick-up to a hilltop Malibu estate with zero cell signal, it wasn't easy getting online if I wanted to. Thanks to Urban Remedy and the lovely Jamie Stone, a handful of fashion and beauty bloggers and I kept away from our phones and recharged our minds for a beautiful morning and afternoon. We learned so much about our own wellness and most surprisingly about each other, even as complete strangers we were to one another. We bonded, laughed, and cried in a teepee haven and I couldn't be more thankful for this amazing one-of-a-kind experience. A takeaway from the event: start or end each day thinking about a high in your life and a low. Then think about the bud - what you look forward to in improving yourself or supporting the high and low. The simple 'game' of Thorns & Roses.
