Pencey Standard dress c/o. Chanel bag. CRAP sunglasses. 3.1 Phillip Lim shoes.

If there was only one event of the year I was looking forward to, it would be this one. I've patiently waited months and months for the 4th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic to come back to LA.

And it was so worth it.

This fashionably preppy soiree was like a second toast to the end of summer, where toasts are only made with the best and my personal favorite champagne and the toasts are endless. A daytime excuse to dress up to picnic and spectate is totally my cup of tea and on the same hand, any place where there's a vintage-inspired dress code, I'm there. It dawned on me, as I raided my closet for something to wear, that this Pencey Standard dress that I've been coveting for months is just the perfect dress I needed. After nearly panicking that this dress was sold out in my size everywhere, my friends at OnePR generously helped me accomplish my dress dream. And so I set forth happy in a dress that I adore, matching my dapper gentleman.

I made it to LA after a quick nap on the earliest morning train and headed straight to Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills for their Glam Brunch, which was a fun hair and makeup session with bites and flutes of Veuve. I naturally didn't have any time in the morning to fix my hair so Prive Salon was luckily there to my hair's rescue. I sat down and 20 minutes later, Chase from Prive turned me into my childhood dream of becoming Princess Ariel with the dreamiest of mermaid waves. I was so happy I had to give him a huge hug and I can't wait to go back to him in the future for those waves again. Next I got touched up with some slick cat eyes at the Bobbi Brown counter, a brand I myself religiously use. A couple more sips of our mimosas and we were ready to finally get to the main event!

Being in the Palisades on a beautiful sunny day couldn't make weekend life seem more perfect. The bright Veuve Clicquot yellow sprouted against the expansive green lawns and the clear blue of day set the scene for an exciting match and a blurred day ahead. Guests were dressed to their nines with bow ties, wild derby hats, and the prettiest sun dresses. We made our way to our picnic spot in front of the field and after two bottles of Veuve, the entire day went by too quick. But that's what cameras are for right?

It was the best first-time experience I could've had at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and I already can't wait until next year! Hope to see some of you there next year!
