She marries in mist, in twilight, at sunrise,
during downpours and warm lightening storms.
Her Style is existential, and as such, transcends convention.
She gets lost in museums by day
and can be found dancing in gardens by night.
A LOHO bride knows the world is wide and her eyes are wider.
She is open to new experiences and is insatiably curious.
- Christy Baird, LOHO Bride
So is the uninhibited vibe of the thoughtful bride, who searches for singularity among anachronistic form. The bride who believes in herself rather than believing in trends will break away from the demarcation of having to do things a certain way, and love the moment she's in.
I didn't know I wouldn't want a traditional dress until I walked into a grand bridal store in Beverly Hills and walked right back out in less than fifteen minutes. The sea of beads, stiff tulle, and more mermaid silhouettes than I can count left little for my desire to wear something that is sensibly me.
LOHO Bride was a discovery that felt like an incarnation of everything my spirit was and hoped for. The artful curation of worldly bridal labels re-inspired my faith that I wasn't alone in wanting to go left of tradition, and that there is an elegant space for a bride who values authentic beauty in contemporary minimalism and her own personal confidence. The suspended racks of dresses inside the natural-lit boutique present a stunning visual of ethereal textures that beckon a wishful touch. Vignettes of modern furnishings and accoutrements perfectly complement the vibes of a contemporary woman who seeks artistry and style in the details. Unique designers like Rime Arodaky, Cortana, Houghton, Elise Hameau and more exclusively commit their beautiful collections to LOHO Bride on Melrose to find their way into cool girls' hands -- I secretly love that my wedding dress from Cortana would be uniquely mine because of their exclusivity to only LOHO Bride in all of the country.
I knew in my heart that LOHO Bride was the destination for me to fulfill my bridal dreams in my most organic style. I told the owner Christy that I wish I could carry these dresses in my daily wardrobe, because they're just magnificent and yet simplistically elegant for occasions that delight a romantic's life. I hope you enjoy the lookbook I put together of bridal dresses for different kinds of romantic personalities, or just for future romantic adventures.
